Dating back to 1889 the 4 Case brothers sold knives in N.Y. out of the back of a wagon. Today Case knives that are used by the military, been to the moon and used in the wilderness, are manufactured in Bradford, PA.
The trapper knife is known as a multi-purpose or detail work knife. Its name originated from the consumer it was designed for. A trapper will typically have 2 blades; but a slimline often has a single blade. Vintage W.R. Case slimline utility, pattern CT1048 SS, in an acrylic handle. Made with stainless steel in 1989 this utility knife is in EXCELLENT condition.
