Hey everyone, we have kept this news under wraps for months. Now we are going to let the cat out of the bag! We have an SFO from Great Eastern Cutlery. This is an exciting opportunity as it is our third SFO from them.
In keeping with our same theme, we have selected a premium handle material in Camel Bone, which we had dyed a beautiful burnt-orange color. This is also a Pattern Production Premier, as indicated by the Three-P etching on the blade.

Often called a balloon half-whittler, the knife has a clip point main-blade and a pen as the secondary. Both blades work off of a single, double-ended backspring. The main blade has a long-pull and the secondary has a nail-nick. The shield is our trademark BOOT which is ONLY found on our SFO’s from Great Eastern Cutlery.
The finished product is incredible. The fit and finish is absolutely superb. The pull is about a 7 on a scale of 1-10; with 1 being sluggish and 10 being a nail breaker. So it is at the perfect resistance for a really nice snap, but not too hard as the everyday carry.
The blade steel is the classic GEC pick of 1095 carbon steel. This is a steel that can take a very keen edge with good edge-retention. The main blade has our Olde Towne Cutlery etch on the blade, and polished nickel-silver bolsters add a touch of bling to the beautiful polished camel bone.
So I suppose your question is, “How do I get one?!”
Well… we have thought about this for a long time. We need to accommodate as many genuine collectors as possible, and try to keep everyone happy. However, we know that is going to be a challenge.
Thus we are going to make these available in FIVE SEPERATE POSTINGS so that everyone who wants one has a chance.
The releases will be as follows:
THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 5th – In-Store Release – 10:00AM
FRI SEPTEMBER 6th – Online Release – Noon- EST
FRI SEPTEMBER 13th – Online Release – Noon- EST
WED SEPTEMBER 18th – Online Release – 6PM- EST
SAT OCTOBER 12th – KNIFETOBERFEST – In-Store Release
There are some important rules as to how we are releasing these knives. The purpose of these rules is to reduce the people who are not knife-collectors that just want to make money flipping these knives on eBay.
The Rules Are:
6. All returns will incur a 15% restock fee unless the knife is defective or not of first quality. However, EVERY SINGLE KNIFE has been inspected by the QC at Great Eastern Cutlery AND by us, so there is no possibility that you could get a bad knife.
We thank you for understanding why these rules are put in place. Ultimately, it is our objective to best serve our customers and protect them from unscrupulous persons.
After all, collecting GEC should be FUN!!
